haven't updated for a while.. couldn't really find the time and anything worthy to post about. it would be a lie if i said that i was busy cramming for my exams cause i didn't really study that much. had 3 exams last week.. passed 2 of them, still waiting on the result for the other one. gonna have another exam this wednesday and that's it for this semester! a whole month of summer break! what do i plan to do then? i was thinking of travelling. if i can scrounge up enough money, i'll go to europe. if not, england will do just fine. i have a friend who's in newcastle.. i might go there. but wouldn't be much fun, since i'll be travelling alone and stuff.

anyway, i had a fun time visiting ali for the weekend in milton keynes. we just hung out, caught up with eachother's life and just talked. oh, we had this debate about the plural to 'fish'.. he said that there was such a thing as 'fishes'! yeah i know.. i didn't believe it at first but i checked online.. the plural of 'fish' is actually 'fishes'! those of you who know your english better than you know your own mother tongue, could you confirm all this for us? thanks

then i told him something he didn't know.. did you guys know that the plural for 'money' is 'monies' or 'moneys'? yup.. hard to believe but grammatically true..

well, that's it from me. a very pointless post, i know.. hey, take it or leave it..

adding up my life

as usual, not much is up. the usual boring lectures, the usual boring sitting in my room doing absolutely nothing productive and the usual dullness that fills up my time. exams are coming up. my first exam is next week. so, i should be doing some major studying since i have plenty of time in my hands. ofcourse, the brunei student way is to study at the very last minute. and who am i to break the, oh so proud, tradition. ':) not too worried actually. it's not that hard of a paper. calculation mostly and i do love numbers. and speaking of numbers, i shall use maths to tell you what's goin' on in my life. let's see...

since the guys left, it's been really dull. and all my other wonderful friends (yes that's you!) are not even 20miles anywhere near me, my social life is nonexistent.

social life = 0

after the whole mix up with the bank, i can count all my money that i have left with my hands...

finance = 7pounds

to have fun, all i need are my friends and money so therefore,

fun = 0 + 7pounds = a bus ride to town and buy a candy bar to eat BY MYSELF.

okay, i do have my health... that counts as something to be happy about.

health = 65

*notices a pack of skittles next to the laptop... then remembers all the junk food bought yesterday*

health = 65 - 40 = 25

and finally, love life. ahhh yes... how can i possibly forget about that. wished i could, but sadly, i can't. haven't been in a relationship for 2years. and even then, it wasn't actually official. so yes, i know it's hard to believe ladies, but it's true... i'm still available. so at the moment:

love life = -30 (i know... i didn't think it was possible too)

so, to sum up.

my life = 0 + a candy bar + 25 - 30 = -5

yup... that's it ladies & gentlemen. that's my life nowadays. -5... math never lies.

my room is complete

it really sucks now that the guys left but i adjusted nicely with all the cool stuff they left me! i felt like it was my birthday! here's the list of what i got from them:

• a fan (perfect for the summer heat!)
• a tv (which i am actually watching a dvd with while i'm typing this right now!)
• an iron
• a shoe rack
• a fridge
• and a lot of other random goodies ':)

now, i don't have to leave my room! anyway, nothing to update really... yani, memie & fifah left this morning. and now, the guys and i that are left here are scratching our heads, figuring out what to occupy our time with.

season 3 comes to an end...

the deckies of my year just went home this morning. at 5am, which is so stupid since their flight is at 5pm! it'll be a very amusing 10hours in the airport for them! now, the deckies are gone. in 2 weeks, the engineers will be going. and with them, goes my social life. not really close with the other bruneians that are here. so yeah, soon it's going to be a very dull 5months for me.. ':(

but as long as i still have internet (the source of all my entertainment) then i'll be fine..

well, not really much to post. oh, world cup is officially over for me. cristiano ronaldo is a freakin' ass! he better not come close to rooney when they get back to manchester. so, to my sister, glad to have you back. hehe.

doin' something girly with the girls...

i hate my new hair.. it's too damn short! so, to make myself feel better about it, i decided to dye it again! what colour this time? ofcourse, i always do natural colours.. and what better natural hair colour than red! hehe. red copper amber to be exact.

i usually dye my hair by myself but this time it was different. i wanted to get highlights aswell and i've never done highlights by myself. and in the box there was this plastic head cap with holes in 'em. so, i guessed it was for some of my hair to be pulled through it and highlighted. and i can't do that on my own. so i seeked helped. and since a few of the guys' girlfriends are here and they were more experienced, i decided to give them the job...

it was a very sad sight, when i walked in their room. they were just lying on the floor, sweating from the heat wave and just stared into space, slowly dying of boredom...

stupidly, i asked, "you guys busy?"

yani's eyes rolled and memie had her arms out, "do we look busy, sham?"

haha! so i asked them if they wanted to do something girly. "dye my hair!"

their eyes suddenly lit up and shouted "BAH!"

they were alive again! haha!

i was treated like a king as i sat on the chair while my hair was being groomed.. ahhh..

colouring my hair red was okay but the second part of it was one of the most painful experience ever! i put my plastic hat on (which the guys were very amused by) and they used this small hook to pull out parts of my hair through the hole. i cringed in agony everytime they poke my scalp. and these ladies weren't exactly gentle. so yeah.. it was the longest 30min of my life..

but in the end, it was worth the pain. it came out great!

so now, i'm a bit happier about my hair. ':)

to nabs: i will post pictures of my new do just as soon as i get a good hair day. hehe.
